The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program offers Bachelor’s degree courses (BA / BS) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and is open to residents of all 50 states. This is the seventh year of the Buick Achievers Scholarships for students with an interest in studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), excel in the classroom, and give back to their communities.
Special attention is given to female and minority students, first-generation college students, veterans and dependent military personnel. Since its inception in 2011, the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program has awarded more than $ 28 million in scholarships to 3,450 students.
Eligibility for Buick achiever scholarship program
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program applicants must:
- Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or current college student after high school.
- Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited four-year college or university based in the United States or Puerto Rico for the entire 2016-2017 academic year. Private schools and online schools are not eligible.
- Plan to major in an engineering / technology focused course or identify design-related study programs.
- Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry or related industries using these fields of study.
- Be a US citizen and have permanent residence in the United States or Puerto Rico.
Requirements:
Student leaders with demonstrated financial need can take off the road in college by showing off all they have achieved. This scholarship program focuses on students with passion who make a difference in their community and beyond. Students must be majoring in a degree program related to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, although “design, marketing, accounting, finance, and business majors” will also be considered. School activities go a long way towards winning a scholarship, as do community activities, work experience, and academic achievement. Special attention will be given to the first generation of colleges, females, minorities, veterans, and military personnel who are applying.
